Marian Thompson

Marian’s interest in people and their health and wellbeing initially led her into a rewarding career in nursing.

Over the years however, she became increasingly drawn to holistic therapies and eventually left the mainstream system of health care to study and work in alternative therapies.More recently she has worked in various welfare arenas including Drug and Alcohol rehabilitation and enjoys being involved in all forms of self-managed health practices.

She is greatly inspired by preventative and holistic healing techniques which heal the causes of illness rather than ameliorate symptoms. Her encouragement is always towards creating alignment in ailing systems and in valuing and respecting all aspects of our being.

Her work with various alternative healing modalities embraces the role of the subtle energies evident in all life forms - from the foods we eat to the relationships we encounter. Marion enjoys passing on her knowledge and insights whenever appropriate.

She conducts many classes and one-on-one sessions relating to a range of healthy lifestyle subjects. Most recently she has been holding fermented live and cooked foods classes, sharing recipes from around the world. Marian’s greatest joy is to witness self-healing occurring when a person takes up the challenge of being responsible for their own health.
